My Approach

Person-Centered

My vision is to assist you in living your best life by removing barriers that interfere with achieving your goals.   Working in collaboration, utilizing evidence-based therapy modalities, we identify, and address barriers interfering with you living your best life.

PERSONALIZED

I encourage you to practice being your own advocate and actively participate in your therapy.  I will work with you to build a relationship built on trust and respect.  I will demonstrate this by keeping all information confidential, valuing your autonomy, respecting cultural and religious views, and working with you as a conduit to promote your confidence and lessen the impact adverse thoughts, behaviors and experiences are having on your vision of how you would like to live your best life.

Your mental health matters and you are worth the work. Therapy is hard and can be painful. You think if you avoid, don’t address it, you don’t have to deal with it. The truth is it is always there running in the background, affecting all the aspects of your life, work, family, social and romantic relationships. Most of all it affects how you see yourself. Therapy can assist you to remove the weight you are carrying from the past and allow you to move forward feeling lighter and happier.

Treatment modalities I utilize during counseling: Acceptance Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Motivational Interviewing (MI), Play Therapy, Eye Movement-Desensitization Reprocessing (EMDR), and Brainspotting (BSP).

Experienced treating: Anxiety, Depression, Grief, PTSD, Trauma, ADHD, Stress, Career Counseling.

I am experienced working with children age 10 to adult.
